Welcome to the Pickle Cottage -- our charming, design-forward 1940s retreat in the heart of Rapid City. Just minutes from downtown and an easy drive to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Badlands National Park, and Wind Cave National Park, this cozy one-bedroom cottage is your ideal base to explore some of South Dakota's most iconic landscapes.
Spend the day in the Black Hills, and return home to soak in your private hot tub, rally on the pickleball court and unwind in our spa-like shower.

This home was amazing! Very convenient area, pickle ball and hot tub at the house, and a cozy inside! We were able to fit 4 people, 2 in the bedroom and 2 on the pull out couch. When it was time to check out, we didn't want to leave!
We had a great stay. Wendy and Alan were very thoughtful and offered to arrange for a pack and play if we didn't have one as we were travelling with our newborn. We also enjoyed the hot tub, and their frame TV was neat.
Wonderful little place
Amazing stay! The home is very charming and is very close to downtown Rapid. Everything was as pictured and the hosts were very responsive. Thank you for the amazing hospitality and we will definitely look for this listing again for future trips to Rapid City!!
The cottage is cozy and peaceful. Evening soaks in the hot tub are a definite perk. Hosts are friendly and responsive. Great option when in the area.
Great hosts who are easy to communicate and will accommodate the best they can! Great place to stay, easy home with nice amenities like a hot tub, washer and dryer, kitchen supplies with some cleaning ones too! Comfy beds and furniture with a cozy vibe. Had everything we needed and wanted! My first time in South Dakota and I cant wait to come back!
Checking in was very easy and seamless, which was helpful after a long day of travel! Upon entering, the place was very clean! The location was a good touch point between the Badlands and Mt Rushmore — just what we needed!

We're Wendy and Alan. We love a long road trip and a good place at the end of it, and we built Voie around that. We host every stay ourselves and keep each one clean, comfortable and easy, whether you're coming alone, as a couple or with the whole family.

What to expect
- The pickleball court is close to regulation size with a slight slope, so it's best for casual play.
- The sofa bed is made up for groups of three or four.
- Air conditioning is in the living room, with fans elsewhere.
- The fenced backyard isn't connected to the cottage door, so dogs need to be walked out to it.
- Single level, no stairs.

- Check-in after 3:00 PM, checkout by 11:00 AM
- Up to 4 overnight guests
- One well-behaved dog welcome, off all furniture and beds (pet fee applies)
- Quiet hours 10:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- No parties or events
- A $250 fee applies if the hot tub needs extra cleaning

- Exterior security cameras and video doorbell. They never cover indoor spaces or the hot tub.

Cancellation policy
Full refund if you cancel 30 or more days before check-in, and 50% up to 7 days before. Booked at least 14 days out? You also have 48 hours after booking to cancel for free. Inside 7 days, the stay is non-refundable.
